AlphaTubes is designed to store only the information needed to run the game, save progress, and support optional account features.

Information We Collect

• Guest gameplay data: puzzle progress, best scores, hints used, and in-progress board states saved in browser cookies.
• Account data (optional): email address and encrypted password hash when you register.
• Sync data: gameplay progress saved to our database when logged in.

Password Security

Passwords are never stored in plaintext. We store password hashes created with secure one-way hashing methods. During login, entered passwords are verified against the hash.

Password Reset

If you request a reset, we generate a time-limited token and send a reset link to your email address. Reset tokens expire and are invalidated after use.

How We Use Data

• To save and restore game progress.
• To sync progress across browsers/devices when logged in.
• To authenticate users and protect account access.

Cookies

We use cookies for gameplay state, preferences, and login sessions. You can clear cookies in your browser, but doing so may reset local progress for guest mode.

reCAPTCHA Notice

To protect account features (such as login, registration, and password reset) from abuse and automated spam, this site uses Google reCAPTCHA. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only use the data needed to operate AlphaTubes.
